I guess it wasn't going to be too long...

...until I wrote about my new house guest.  So ladies & gents, for those of you who are not connected to me via facebook, I'd like to introduce you to Spey...

Spey is a 5 year old Collie, who has come to stay with me for a while, while his owner recovers from an op. I decided to apply & register as a dog fostererer and next thing I knew Spey had moved in. :)  He is a very friendly dog and pretty well behaved.  However he has proven to be quite a big distraction.  This is how the day usually goes....

Wake up.
Throw some clothes on, run down 64 stairs (yup, I've counted, wouldn't you?!) to let Spey out the back for a pee (for those of you who know me, you know that the whole 'getting dressed every day' has not been on my agenda for quite a while now, so this really did come as a shock in the first week)
Back upstairs, wash & dress myself & feed him his breakfast.
Go out for morning walk.
Come back, make sure that there is plenty of fresh water in his water bowl, switch on computer, make cup of tea, sit at desk with the full intention that I'll do a decent day's work.
Then...

I tell him to go lie down....

Which apparently, in a dog's mind means 'go try the other side'....

Then when this doesn't work...

Give a bigger clue!!!

Also, we're having lovely weather right now - so long walks are a must...

I was away over night this weekend and my neighbours had very kindly agreed to looking after him - I think it was about 30 mins after I left him that I was calling to find out if he was ok...

Of course we have our arguments which usually go like this:-

Heel

Heel

Heel

Heel goddamit!!

Apart from that, we're all good!! :)
